Returning to yourself
A weekend of movement, breath, sound & inner awareness
When was the last time you truly paused to listen to your body and inner world?
Throughout the weekend we explore different practices that cultivate presence and deep relaxation. Through mindful movement, breath awareness and moments of stillness, the body gradually releases tension and the mind becomes quieter.

Sound will also be part of this journey. Mantras and the vibrations of singing bowls will be woven into some of the practices, creating an atmosphere that supports relaxation, introspection and a deeper connection with the present moment.

The intention of this weekend is simple: to create space to slow down, reconnect with your inner rhythm and rediscover the sense of balance that naturally arises when body, breath and awareness move together.

In a peaceful and supportive environment, you are invited to pause, breathe and return to yourself. Below you will read more about the program of the weekend, the teacher, and the beautiful retreat center.

Teacher: Sabrina Caldini
I have always been curious about the human experience — how the body moves, how the mind works and how our inner world shapes the way we live. Yoga, for me, is a path of returning to ourselves. When we bring attention to the body — to movement, breath and sensation — the mind gradually quiets and a deeper sense of presence begins to emerge.

I believe that reconnecting with the body is a doorway to expanding awareness. As we develop more sensitivity to the physical body, we also begin to perceive the emotional and mental layers of our being more clearly, creating space for balance, harmony and self-discovery.

My journey into self-development began more than twenty years ago through the DeRose Method, a practice that deeply influenced my understanding of awareness, discipline and conscious living. After moving to Europe, I expanded my studies into other yoga traditions, including Hatha Yoga, Vinyasa, Yin Yoga and Aerial Yoga, integrating these practices with my long-standing interest in body awareness and conscious movement.

My training in Reiki and energetic alignment also inspired me to bring greater awareness of subtle energy into the practice, inviting students to explore not only the physical body but also the energetic dimension of their experience.

I look forward to sharing this practice with you and creating a space where we can slow down, reconnect and explore this journey together.

THE PROGRAM
During the weekend we move through a sequence of practices that gradually guide the body and mind from slowing down into deeper awareness and integration.
Friday Evening ~ Yin Yoga: Arrival and Grounding
We begin the retreat with a calm Yin Yoga practice designed to release the tensions accumulated during the week. Through longer-held postures, breath awareness and gentle sound vibrations, the body begins to slow down and settle into the space of the retreat.

Saturday Morning ~ Gentle Flow & Energy Awakening
A soft and mindful flow practice that awakens the body through movement and breath. With simple sequences we stimulate circulation and activate the body’s energy while maintaining a calm and attentive presence.

Saturday Evening ~ Flexibility, Focus & Inner Observation
This practice invites a deeper exploration of the body through flexibility work combined with attentive awareness inside each posture. Mantras and subtle sound elements may be included to support concentration and inner listening.

Sunday Morning ~ Integration & Deep Relaxation
Our final session allows the experiences of the weekend to settle. Through gentle movement, breath awareness and the soothing sounds of singing bowls, we create space for integration, relaxation and clarity before returning to daily life.

ORetreat center in Zeeland
Bathed in space and tranquility, between the characteristic Zeeland coastal village of Renesse and Zierikzee, lies our inspiring and soothing yoga retreat, “De Schouw”. Despite Zeeland being so close, here you truly feel like you are getting away from it all.

The cozy and characteristic building is light, spacious, and particularly atmospheric with its beautiful architecture. There are lovely yoga studios, a charming living and dining room, and a silent room where you can turn inward completely. There is also a separate relaxation area with various saunas, a foot bath, and massage rooms.

The beautiful garden surrounding the building features a sunny terrace, various cozy nooks, and an outdoor swimming pool. The grassy meadow invites you to spend plenty of time outdoors, and we will hold the yoga workshops there whenever possible.

De Schouw offers different types of rooms, each fitting the characteristic style of the building. The neat rooms have comfortable beds made up with fresh linens, and basic but clean bathrooms. The food is vegetarian, organic, and delicious, prepared by our favorite chef, who is characterized by creativity, craftsmanship, and a love for nature. The meals are made from honest, fresh, and natural ingredients—conscious and fitting for the weekend.

Outside of the program, there is also plenty of room for relaxation and rest. Enjoy time for yourself. Perhaps you would like to treat yourself to a massage treatment provided by our own masseur(s). This ultimate physical relaxation is optional and available for a small additional fee, for which you can sign up on-site.
The beautiful Zeeland surroundings invite you for a walk in the dunes or the forest, to go swimming or get a breath of fresh air on the beach, or to go cycling on one of the free loan bikes. But of course, you can also simply relax with a book on the sofa or chill in the living room or on the terrace.

It is the ideal place for movement, deepening, processing, stillness, connection, and nature. In short, the ideal place for your yoga retreat!
